I had the opportunity to have breakfast at Yolk this past week-end. I saw your ad in one of the dining guides at the Sheraton. My partner and I walked down and had an incredible breakfast. I was struck right away by how clean the whole restaurant was; especially the bathroom, a sure sign of a well run and clean restaurant. My eggs benedict were wonderful, as were the potatoes and the great fruit. I have to eat breakfast at restaurants a great deal and truly appreciate the tremendous food and coffee you serve as well as the environment. In fact, it was so good we came back Sunday morning for another dose before we had to return home.
Again, thanks so much for such a great experience.

I was recently in Chicago visiting my sister. We ate twice at Yolk, and absolutely loved it. Is there any possibility that one would open in Minnesota? We definitely need more breakfast places, and yours was fabulous!

Yolk has become very popular in the south loop - so much so that many of us travel from the west loop to enjoy your food. We really, really wish you would open a west loop eatery where we believe the reception would be enormous for your wonderful concept. You may even want to extend the concept in the west loop with a full day service including dinner. That would be so excellent.

I want to thank you for the excellent food and service we received on July 4th at your establishment. The Canadian Lions in attendance have mentioned many times since, what an excellent breakfast your staff prepared and served. They have been accustomed to the old standard hotel buffets, soggy scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon and sausage and lukewarm coffee. YOLK has made many friends in Multiple District "A" Ontario, Canada and we will spread the word that anyone visiting your city would be well advised to treat themselves to a first class meal there.

My partner and I recently visited Chicago for the first time; we stayed at Chicago's Essex Inn. When we asked for a breakfast restaurant the desk clerk suggested Yolk. Our first morning there, we had an omelet and Eggs benedict... we thought the food was great, and so was the service. Even though were told about several breakfast venues in Chicago, we decided to eat breakfast at Yolk every morning. We were always pleased, and thought your place was clean, well managed (Gentleman with short dark hair must be a manager, very organized, on top of things, and friendly) food was excellent and prices fair.

On September 23rd, my girlfriend Faye and I had the express privilege to stumble upon your restaurant on a truly exhilarating Sunday morning. We both have long-held loves for breakfast and everything about it, and have made it a habit to find the best breakfast spot in Chicago. Our journey is complete. Right when you walk through the door, Yolk makes a statement. This statement, on my interpretation, is something close to "Welcome to Heaven. High five!" The design is both unique and exciting.
Honestly, for me, the design is enough to make me happy. But you were better than that. You knew the food is ultimately what would make us want to come back. It was thoroughly difficult to choose from your stunning menu. As a person with a deeply profound love of all things 'breakfast,' your menu is both expansive and tantalizing to all the senses. I decided on the bacon batter waffle, and my life changed forever. The waffle was delivered in haste, but to the contrary, it took me something in the neighborhood of 20-25 minutes to finish eating it. This isn't completely blamed on the waffle's girth (which was respectable and appreciated), but because after every bite, I would slap the table, and proclaim its glories.
Yolk, I've been living a lie. I thought I had had amazing food. I've spent a lot of money on food that my colleagues told me was enticing, and I believed them when I ate it. At Yolk, I spent 8 dollars and my mental landmark of "delicious" had been established forever. You did it. I realize how many adjectives I've used, and I assure you I am not on drugs. Faye and I deeply enjoyed our visit to Yolk, and it would be nothing short of absurd to think we won't be back again with more friends.

I just found your card when cleaning out my wallet. My wife and I were up there for the Marathon a couple of weeks ago and stumbled upon your restaurant. We ended up eating there 5 of the next 6 mornings, right up to the day we left. Great food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere, but at reasonable prices. You guys are on to a great concept there so keep it up. The staff is very quick without seeming to rush the customers. Very well trained. Anyway, just wanted to say good job and thanks for making our trip that much more enjoyable.

Will you guys be open New Years Day? I’m planning a trip into the city for New Years and you guys are my FAVORITE for breakfast!

We have talked about visiting your restaurant for a year now. When we find out friends or families are visiting Chicago, we tell them that they MUST go have breakfast at "Yolk". We stayed just down the street last summer and had breakfast almost everyday at Yolk. We were thrilled every time. The best breakfast we have ever had, anywhere! The restaurant is spotless, the wait staff great and of course, the food is phenomenal! We will definitely visit the next time we are in Chicago.

My husband and I arrived in Chicago Thursday morning July 17th at 0630 am and walked around looking for a place to eat breakfast. We could not check in to our hotel until noon. We found Yolk! Our service was excellent though I apologize I cannot remember our server's name. Your restaurant was beautiful and very clean. The omelettes we had were the best ever, my husband had "The Works" and I had the "Mediterranean". Thank you all so much for helping us enjoy our stay in Chicago!!
